Week 9 - 2D

 Sketch in your Visual Diary or Illustrator 

1.  Clear rendition of 3 invitation / flyer layouts using the logo & text supplied 

2.  The design must have space for sponsor logos 

3.  CDU logo must be on the bottom right – check branding rules 

BLOG - 15 mins 

Each student post the group results in your blog with images and descriptive text 

2. GROUP EXERCISE – Concept Realisation 

In todays class we were given time to design a DL flyer for the exhibition using Josie's design for '102 Art in the Hotlands'.

 We were given the branding guidelines for CDU and had to take this into consideration when designing the DL flyer.

I wanted to keep in the theme of using a rough brush stroke but with the time we had that was the closest i came up with but I'd like to see the white borders using the same brush stroke that Josie used in the headline. 

3. PRACTICAL – Design Realisation 

30 mins – Illustrator / 10 mins Presentations / 10 mins Blog 

1.  Layout your version of all 3 designs decided on in the group exercise 

2.  Show your results to the class 

3.  Blog screenshots of your work 

After we all were given time to create a few designs we presented them all to the class. We're pretty pressed for time so we decided it was best if we made a decision today as we weren't sure if there would be time to present the best ideas at the meeting. We all presented some great designs but we were all really impressed with Rachel's design and really wanted to run with her idea. It really complimented Josie's Headline design and using paint splatters really linked the 2 designs beautifully.
